The Primary Claywork Project
The Athene Trust liaised with The Arts Council of Northern Ireland to administer the funding of the project.
The initiative sought to offer new opportunities for access and participation to communities previously excluded from the arts.
Three ceramic artists were appointed to work with children from three schools in Knockelder, Northern Ireland, in order to create individual and group artifacts.
Ninety children and adults worked with the creative artists to experience the process of making a piece of creative artwork from beginning to end.
All the projects with which The Athene Trust is involved, either through initiation or participation, are subject to internal evaluation to ensure that The Trust applies its funds in an appropriate manner within its stated aims and objectives.
